Catalog description

Continuation of process development and design from CHML 405 . Application of safety constraints, loss prevention, hazards evaluation, and engineering ethics to design of chemical processes and plants. Computer simulation software used for process design. Industrial review of design projects. Written and oral reports required only randomly assigned process plants. Two lectures and one two-hour problem period. Spring. Prerequisites: CHML 208 , 209, 305, 316, 321, 339.
