Catalog description

This course offers an in-depth exploration of significant and timely political topics through an interdisciplinary lens, including but not limited to economics, geography, history, politics, and sociology, providing students with the opportunity to engage critically with specialized areas of research and debate. Topics may vary each term and could include elections and voting, law and the courts, public opinion and behavior, justice and citizenship, global politics, women and politics, and human rights. Through readings, discussions, and research, students will develop a deeper understanding of key political concepts, institutions, and movements. This course may be repeated for credit when taken with different topics. LA-TBI.
