Catalog description
What is consciousness? How does it arise? What is the relationship between the mind and the brain? Are we free? Do we have an enduring identify? This course will cover the major topics found in the historical and contemporary debates about the nature of the mind and its relation to the world. Possible topics include reductionism, behavioralism, eliminative materialism, dualism, functionalism, consciousness, qualia, intentionality, and zombies. LA-TBI
