Catalog description

A study of the convergence of media and rhetoric in video games. Students learn how to analyze video games as cultural artifacts, as configurations of distinct but interlocking units of meaning. Lectures emphasize the interactivity, rhetoric and cultural implications of this emergent medium. Assignments include theoretical analyses and a presentation on contemporary issues. LA-TBI.
