Application of theories of learning. This course explores cultural influences on the growth and development of diverse learners from early childhood through adolescence. Consideration is given to the role educational learning theories play in responding to the influence of power systems,structures of inequality, and the construction of identity. Through action research, the course examines best practices in culturally responsive teaching. Teaching majors must earn a C or higher to meet the teaching program expectations. LA-FCU, LA-FCG
