Catalog description
Examines nursing concepts utilizing the nursing process as the framework for organizing person-centered care for patients with physiological and psychological alterations. Explores the health needs of patients of varied psychosocial backgrounds and diverse populations, including child-bearing populations. Incorporates clinical judgment in providing safe, evidence-based, and professional nursing care. Lecture: 7 credits (105 contact hours). Clinical: 3 credit hours (135 contact hours).

Hybrid course that meets approximately 50% of meetings on site and 50% online. Must be admitted to the Integrated Nursing Program. Must be taken with 81L1 & 81L2. Mandatory days will be listed on the course calendar some Fridays may added. Some material may be delivered through Blackboard Collaborate or Microsoft Teams. The meeting pattern or method of delivery of this course may change due to room capacity. The instructor will email further instructions prior to the first day of class. A $85.88 ExamSoft fee will be added to tuition. A mandatory $113.20 (new student) or $80.20 (returning student) Castlebranch fee (student's responsibility) is required. There is a $55 (student responsibility) charge annually for FIT testing. An Evolve Resource Package fee of $796.64 will be added to the tuition.
