Provides instruction on the identification and diagnosis of infectious microorganisms in the clinical laboratory, including disease processes, biochemical reactions, susceptibility testing, and isolation techniques for Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Lecture: 2 credits (30 contact hours). Laboratory: 1 credit (45 contact hours).
