Introduction to PLCs

Examines fundamental architecture of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as they pertain to industrial applications and incorporates ladder logic principles, commonly used program instructions, editing, program navigation, and program analysis. Lecture: 1 credit (15 contact hours). Laboratory: 1 credit (30 contact hours).

Class orientation will be held on the Muhlenberg County Campus in the Shaver Education Center in room 109 (SEC 109). The remaining classes will be held at the West Kentucky Regional Technical Training Center campus in Muhlenberg County, KY. Hybrid course that meets approximately 50% of the meetings on site and 50% online. Class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays. Second bi-term course.
