Catalog description

Sociology 32 is the sociological analysis of family as an institution, including historical and recent changes, present nature and the socio-cultural and economic forces shaping these changes. The course will include an introduction to the principles of marriage and family relationships, including love, courtship, mate selection, marriage, sexuality, family planning, pregnancy and childbirth, sexually transmitted diseases, family conflict, conflict resolution, communication skills, divorced families, step-families, aging, and widowhood.
