Music Theory III

Catalog description

This course is a continuation of MUS 1B and will build on those skills. This course adds the following: writing and analysis, 2-voice counterpoint and fugue, chromatic harmony and forms of the 18th century, and reductive analysis. Emphasis is on classical and early romantic periods. This course is designed for music majors. PREREQUISITE: Music 1B. (A, CSU, UC) (C-ID MUS 140)
