Fundamentals of Nursing Practice

Catalog description

This course covers the theory, principles, and practice of fundamental nursing skills needed to care for patients. Health promotion across life span and its preservation are stressed. Interpersonal relationships, cultural competence, community resources, prevention, and treatment of disease are studied. Direct Patient Care experience is integrated with classroom theory and skills lab and is provided at affiliating hospitals under the direct supervision of college Nurse instructors. COREQUISITES: LVN 113 Pharmacology. ADVISORIES: English 1A or English 1AH.
