Catalog description

protocols, topologies, hardware, network architectures and network operating systems. The course will also cover the most important concepts in contemporary networking and security which include TCP/IP, Ethernet, wireless transmission, network administration, intrusion detection systems, support and troubleshooting WANs (Wide Area Networks). Students will develop the skills to implement a secure network topology using the proper hardware and software for their environment. Students will build a network from scratch and maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot an existing network. Finally, students will be prepared to take the CompTIA (The Computing Technology Industry Association) Network + and Security + certification exams.
