Historical Geology

Catalog description

This course describes the origin and geologic history of the earth and the development of plant and animal life as shown through fossils and rock strata. The course includes the study of geologic dating, plate tectonics, the sedimentary record, and the fossil record with in-depth study of early life, dinosaurs, and human beings. Field trips may be included as part of the course. (A, Cal-GETC, CSU, UC)
