This American Literature course focuses on readings from the Colonial period through Reconstruction. Fiction, poetry, and non-fiction will be placed into their historical and philosophical contexts. Discussion and written responses are based on the reading. PREREQUISITES: English C1000 or C1000H. (A, Cal-GETC, CSU, UC) (C-ID ENGL 130)
