Catalog description
This course provides a broad introduction to the structure, metabolism, ecology, and medical relevance of microorganisms and viruses, with special emphasis on microbial diseases. Students will acquire and apply hands-on skills in the laboratory. The course content is intended for students interested in biological, medical, or health-oriented programs (nursing, RadTech, dental hygiene, PA, etc.). PREREQUESITIES: Biology 5 or 11A and Chemistry 3A or 1A ADVISORIES: English C1000 or English C1000H (A, Cal-GETC, CSU-GE, UC, I)
