Intermediate Painting: Oil/Acrylic

Catalog description

This course builds on the foundation of Beginning Painting to develop a deeper understanding of painting materials, perceptual skills, color theory, paint mixing and technique, as well as creative responses to materials and subject matter. Activities and lectures involve further investigation into painting through the study of historical and contemporary processes, principles, and best practices. PREREQUISITES: Art 9 or demonstration of comparable skill level to be determined by testing and/or portfolio of past oil/acrylic painting works. (A, CSU, UC)
