Catalog description

Pre-requisite or take concurrently: WDT229 This course is designed to provide the student with the skills in welding boiler tubes using the gas tungsten arc and shielded metal arc welding process using filler metals in the F6 and F4 groups to applicable code. Emphasis is placed on welding boiler tubes using the gas tungsten arc and shielded metal arc welding process in the 2G and 6G positions in accordance with the applicable code. Upon completion, students should be able to perform gas tungsten arc and shielded metal arc welding on boiler tubes with the prescribed filler metals in the 2G and 6G positions to the applicable code.
