Addresses the roles and responsibilities of the speech-language pathologist specific to social communication disorders, including autism spectrum disorder. Topics include evaluation, program development, and implementation of services specifically related to social communication and behavior. Assessment and intervention strategies are across varying ages and developmental profiles. Topics are examined through a neurodiverse lens and the views, writings, and lived experiences of autistic people are intertwined across the course.
