Catalog description
Examines the role of the literacy leader as a specialist, interventionist, and instructional coach within integrated and tiered support systems such as Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Students apply scientific, evidence-based practices to support literacy curriculum development and decision-making, provide targeted literacy interventions, lead interdisciplinary data meetings and professional development sessions, coach teachers and instructional staff, and analyze classroom- and school-level data to inform equitable, school-wide literacy improvements, plans, and policies. <i>May be repeated once for degree credit.</i>
