Catalog description

Investigates the study of linguistics, including sociolinguistics, with a focus on theoretical foundations and scientific, evidence-based approaches for teaching and assessing reading, writing, spelling, phonics, and grammar in monolingual and multilingual contexts in education. Foundational concepts such as phonology, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics are explored with the goal of informing planning for teaching and other fields that include monolingual and multilingual populations.
