Multicultural Issues in Psych

Catalog description

Designed to critically examine major multicultural issues in psychology. Conceptual, historical, philosophical, and theoretical issues are reviewed. Guidelines for psychological practice with ethnic and culturally diverse populations and the current status of multicultural psychology are examined. Self-reflection is emphasized as a means of learning about the dimensions of culture that each person possesses (e.g., racial identity, sexual orientation). <i>Fulfills social science core and Group VII requirement.
