Global Politics of Migration

Catalog description

One of the most enduring questions of global politics is why humans move from their home communities to other places, often at great cost and personal risk. This course introduces students to the main approaches to the study of international migration, including the impact of immigration on the host nation. A significant portion of the course focuses on forced migration and refugee policies. Students complete an independent research paper using migration data, in addition to course readings. <i>GT</i>
