Many traditions and authors through history have set forth "mystical" insights, often accompanied by rigorous argument-for example, that beneath the chaotic diversity of experience there is an ultimate source of meaning and/or unity. This course examines a selection of such accounts, seeking to understand their domains of evidence, philosophical implications, and experiential applications.
