Catalog description

Development of the mathematical methods needed to describe waves and vector fields. Topics include power series, complex numbers, linear algebra, Fourier series, and vector calculus. Physical examples cover harmonic oscillations, coupled oscillations, and traveling waves. <i>This course provides a solid mathematical foundation for the advanced physics courses. DS</i>
