Catalog description
Develops clinical judgment and reasoning skills in health assessment across the lifespan, integrating genetic, developmental, and nutritional perspectives. The course emphasizes taking health histories, conducting systematic physical examinations, and integrating assessment data into nursing diagnoses and care plans. Students demonstrate competency in using electronic medical records and collaborating with other healthcare providers. Competency is assessed through health assessments, written exams, and simulation exercises. <i>Must be passed with a C or better. </i>
