Intro to Programming in Python

Catalog description

Introduces software development with an emphasis on real-world applications. Students are taught to solve problems in a modern computing environment with Python. Principles of problem-solving, problem decomposition, logic, program design, debugging and data analysis collection, processing, storage, and retrieval are covered. Students explore emerging concepts such as artificial intelligce-assisted design and vibe coding. Emphasis is placed on developing an applied analytics project relatable to a business application. <i>CS 151 may be substituted for this course with permission of the department chair. No prior programming experience is required.</i>
