Catalog description

Explores the use of insects and other terrestrial arthropods in medico-legal, urban, and stored product entomology. Emphasis is placed on insect evidence associated with violent crimes and death investigations involving humans and companion animals. The course examines techniques associated with recognition, collection and preservation of entomological evidence, methods for identification of forensically important insects, and use of insect development in the estimation of the postmortem interval. <i>Closed to students who have taken FO 651. </i>
