Catalog description

An introduction to the theory of operation of active components. Active components introduced include operational amplifiers, diodes, bi-polar junction transistors (BJTs), and metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETs). Structure, physical operation, current-voltage characteristics, small-signal operation, basic amplifier configurations, and biasing of amplifier circuits for MOSFETs and BJTs are presented. Fundamental concepts of semiconductor physics are also discussed.
