Catalog description

The first phase of a two-semester internship. Students connect theory to practice with local school partners. Interns observe, reflect, and develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions required of classroom teachers. Students collaborate with mentor teachers in the preparation of learning materials and in classroom instruction. They become acquainted with support systems, school climate, and educational resources. <i>A 3.0 GPA or passing score on Praxis or its equivalent. Students are responsible for transportation to school site. (Pass/Fail)</i>
