Catalog description

Studies community development, with a focus on topics related to the formation of physical and social capital. These topics include the role played by community development banks, social capital, entrepreneurship, and cooperatives. Students learn to assess development through standard measures of poverty, inequality, and human development in general. The coures requires students to complete several reading assignments, review complementary videos and instruction materials, and work through related problem sets or graded assignments. <i>GT</i>
