Catalog description

An introduction to college-level chemistry with an emphasis on developing problem solving skills. Topics covered include the fundamental concepts of chemistry such as essential chemical calculations and working with scientific notations and units, atomic theory, chemical bonding, and naming compounds along with the mathematics required for quantitative problem solving. <i>This course is designed for students that have not recently taken high school chemistry or with a limited mathematics background. Closed to students who have taken CH101.</i>
