An introduction to organismal structure and function, including how and why cells are organized into tissues, organs, and organ systems, transmission and expression of genetic information, the role of positive and negative feedback in maintaining homeostasis, and how organisms use different strategies to solve problems such as reproduction, repair and regeneration, response to the environment, transport of materials, and control via cellular communication. <i>Required for biology, biochemistry, and forensic studies majors.
