Catalog description

An introduction to the four language skills: reading, understanding, speaking, and writing, as well as the structure of Modern Standard Arabic and the cultures of Arabic-speaking countries. <i>For students with no previous knowledge of the language. Heritage speakers should discuss placement with the instructor. Laboratory study outside the classroom is required.</i>
