This 1-credit seminar course prepares students selected for the summer global health internship to engage ethically, professionally, and effectively in international public health settings. Through interactive sessions, students will explore foundational global health concepts, complete ethics and safety training, analyze key public health indicators for their assigned site, and reflect on the role of culture in shaping health beliefs and health systems. Emphasis will be placed on responsible global engagement, cultural humility, and comparative analysis of health systems. Successful completion of this course is required for participation in the summer field internship abroad.
