Catalog description

In this course, students will evaluate the laws and policies that have impacted the heallth of women in the United States. The first part of the course will be an introduction to women's health law and policy. Discussion will focus on the challenges, opportunities, and existing efforts to improve access to health, healthcare, innovation, and research for women including the laws and policies that influence women's health. This course will cover topics including equal pay and the wage gap; clinical research; reproductive health; maternal health; sexual health and menopause, menstruation and period poverty. This will be an interactive, discussion-based, weekend seminar that offers an opportunity to learn from leading women's health experts from across the country.
