Restricted to students in the Honors Program. This course introduces students to the history and culture of selected nations of Latin America and the Caribbean. Students will study significant ideas and events that have shaped this area. These might include indigenous cultures, colonization, slavery, race relations, independence and revolutionary movements, economic dependency and political instability.
