Catalog description

Through pre-trip classes developing an understanding of international business and a week-long study abroad, students will observe how foreign businesses navigate the unique dynamics of the country in which they operate, contribute to the country's development, and deploy innovative technologies that help the society become more equitable and sustainable. In pursuit of these learning outcomes, students will engage with several foreign companies. Additionally, daily reflection discussions and activities will aid students in connecting their day-to-day experiences in the foreign country with their understanding of the specific local context of political and economic development and the global context of international business. Through cultural activities, students will also develop a fuller appreciation of the challenges and opportunities of business in a foreign country, with an eye towards promoting positive and sustainable social and environmental impact.
