Students receive instruction by lecture, demonstrations, video tape, and small groups in aseptic technique in the operation room; surgical scrubbing, gowning, and gloving in the operating room; an introduction of how to use electronically-stored records; an overview of Advance Cardiac Life Support certification and procedures; a review of the LSUHSC Clinical Orientation Manual, and a tour of hospital clinical areas.
