Upon completion of this course, participants will develop their ability to learn how an organization of equipment, placement of tools, enhances the ability to reduce; confusion, NVA Time, and improve uptime, increased safety, quality, and productivity to ensure total customer satisfaction. This 2-day course is intensive and hands on; with a goal of completion of an “Island of Excellence” that the rest of manufacturing can see for themselves and pass on to other departments or work cells to duplicate. The preference is to utilize 5S in the worst, cluttered, ugliest production area of the plant, to create a conclusion; “if you can do it there, then you can do it anywhere”. In addition, each participant learns the principles of a Visual Factory; a set of principles that make supervision and management of the production processes easier by quickly by quickly revealing the abnormalities in the process.
