Instruction is comprised of lectures, group exercises, case studies and hands-on practice focusing on inspection procedures, proper instrument use, and situation problem solving, including how corrosion forms, the role protective coatings play in preventing corrosion, the role of the inspector, how to differentiate surface preparation equipment, methods, and standards for solvent cleaning, hand/power tool cleaning, wet/dry abrasive blasting, and waterjetting.
