A high-touch practicum designed for accelerated Teacher Apprenticeship Program students. This course involves weekly group meetings, intensive advising, personalized coaching, and on-site school observations each semester. Through a robust partnership with LDCC, local school districts, and the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM), this practicum transitions teacher apprentices to earn their bachelor’s degrees and full certification. Each apprentice is paired with a teacher mentor, and the practicum includes managing mentor assignments, coordinating evaluations, and maintaining close collaboration with schools to ensure the effectiveness of the mentorship program. This comprehensive model provides unparalleled support for apprentices as they navigate both academic and professional pathways.
