Catalog description

An introductory practicum designed for high school seniors participating in the Teacher Apprenticeship Program through dual enrollment. This course involves bi-weekly group meetings, personalized coaching, advising, and on-site school observations. Dual Enrollment Teacher Apprentices gain early exposure to the teaching profession by working closely with experienced teacher mentors in their local schools. Through strong partnerships with LDCC and local school districts, this practicum prepares apprentices with foundational skills and knowledge to transition into college-level educator preparation programs. This model provides a supportive environment for high school students to explore and develop their potential as future educators.
