Catalog description
This course provides a comprehensive presentation of the current version of Microsoft Access. In addition to an introduction to Access, topics include relational databases and multi-table queries; how to customize, analyze, and summarize query data to make decisions; create expressions with expression builder; create and work with data aggregates; create, edit and perform calculations in professional forms and reports; establish validation methods to help ensure the integrity of data; perform database maintenance by creating action and special condition queries; and connect Access to external files by exporting data to Office applications, and importing data into Access. This course prepares students for the MOS Access Exam. Prerequisite(s): CINS 101 or CINS 102 with a grade of”C” or better or instructor’s approval.
