This course describes the principles of human nutrition and focuses on the physiological processes of nutrient functions in body systems. The relationship of nutrition to normal body function and disease is emphasized. The specific application of nutrition to health and fitness and how it can be used by health care professionals is covered. Prerequisite(s): Completion of BIOL 221 or 201 with a C or better.
