Catalog description

Mathematical tools underpinning machine learning applications; properties of Euclidean space, elementary topology, and cove sets and functions. This is a bridge course in writing rigorous proofs. It is designed for students to start thinking about mathematical concepts beyond calculus that are used in modern applications of Data Science, such as, for example, convex analysis and optimization.
