Catalog description

Cybersecurity is a fundamental enabler of democracy, human rights, privacy, and national security. Important topics include authentication and access control mechanisms; application and operating system level security; malicious software; digital forensics; encryption, including private- and public-key encryption methods. Importantly, in addition to the technical aspects of cybersecurity, the course explores the ethical, legal, and economic frameworks in which cybersecurity is practiced.
