Molecular biology and genetics of eukaryotes. Overview of regulation of gene expression in eukaryotes, nucleic acid and chromatin structure, protein-DNA interactions, recombination mechanisms, and RNA biology. Emphasis is placed on the application of methods and basic principles to biotechnology and medicine.
