Hands-on large-scale geospatial analysis and Geographic Information Systems operations in R using open-source modeled/remote-sensing-based land and climate data. Specific applications of advanced computational techniques related to mesoscale soil hydrology are discussed, with relevance to soil science, hydrology, agriculture, and environmental modeling.
