Catalog description

This course is designed to welcome students to the LCCC community and to support first-year students in successfully transitioning to college and preparing for work-based learning, internships, and career-technical experiences. Students will explore strategies for academic success, personal development, and effective internship and job searching. Topics include academic skill development, campus resources, goal setting, resume writing, interview preparation, networking, and professional communication. By the end of the course, students will create a personalized academic and career plan to guide their college success, engagement in internships or other experiential opportunities, and transition into the workforce. This course may be used to fulfill the SDEV 101 requirement.
