MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID

Catalog description

This course is based on the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, Mental Health First Aid USA. Students will participate in real world scenarios, activities, and hands on training to develop skills to help someone who is developing a mental health challenge or experiencing a mental health crisis. A Mental Health First Aid USA certificate will be awarded upon instructor's recommendation and successful completion of competencies. This course may be repeated up to four (4) times for credit but can satisfy only three (3) credits for academic program requirement. (A special fee will be assessed.)
